After returning from COVID we had to work hard to help students be model citizens in the school. Middle School students are extremely motivated by snacks, and small little items that are fun! Other students see students getting these prizes and rewards and often times meet the expectations in order to get prizes also. The items that they purchase give them a sense of pride about who they are and how they deserved to get the prize. Not only does this teach the students about being good citizens, but also it teaches them responsibility and finance. The students have many options of items to "buy" but if they want a bigger reward they would need to save up points. This is a valuable lesson especially for middle school students.
