We are excited to continue on with laboratories in school, however, I would like to expand the dissection laboratories. Students would better learn every aspect from cellular and structural parts of the organisms we dissect with having the ability to look at some pieces under a dissection microscope. Some specific examples include a GI tract from an ruminant animal and how we will look at a cross section of intestine under a dissection microscope as well as use our light microscopes for the stomach contents that have microbes. We will get to see the microvilli closely if we have dissection microscopes which can help with better understanding of surface area and digestibility.
