Flexible Seating options are important in my classroom. My students aren't all comfortable in a standard seat all day. I would like to provide them with different options, so they have places to go and read or learn during free time. I want them to be comfortable and engaged. My students are more engaged, relaxed, and less disruptive when they are allowed to choose their seats and their activity. Flexible seating combined with the library games will reinforce standards they've learned throughout the year in an enjoyable way. They will be allowed to be a child and be comfortable. Everything on my list is easily moved around the classroom and can be used in several different times of the day. Learning to make effective choices is a skill I want my students to learn. Allowing them to choose how they spend their free time will only benefit them.
