The students in 3rd grade will thrive during distance learning using these hands on science materials. Students will use the weather tools in order to make graphical displays to describe typical weather conditions. Students will also explore weather conditions around the word and will simulate different temperatures within each investigation. I would like to put essential meaning making materials in each student's hands while we investigate water and climate. Not only will these materials be useful during science instruction, they will also be utilized to teach measurement in mathematics as well! Students will be able to use the thermometers in order to accurately measure temperature. They will learn about our most precious resource, WATER! They will use the materials to see expansion, evaporation, and understand the water cycle.
