In the era of Zoom sessions instead of in-person learning, impoverished students are struggling with getting basic needs met at home. Hygiene kits are just one way to provide ongoing care for our kids while they are unable to physically come to the classroom. Typically these items are distributed at school but this year has forced us to reallocate funds to technology-based education materials which leaves little left for more personal items, like those included in these kits. Developing healthy hygiene habits in childhood leads to healthy habits as adults as well as better overall health throughout the school years. Let's help these kids get the boost they need in order to truly shine on their reservation nd be a strong, resilient voice for their people! Side note: razors will be removed from kits before distribution and donated to local homeless shelter.
