COVID-19 changed education in this country and it most certainly brought forth the inequities that exist for some students. My students were adversely affected when school was shut down in March. My students did not have technology to keep them connected to learning and had to complete paper packets. Now my students have one to one techonlogy and are able to engage fully in the learning process. Starting the school year virtually was difficult but my students have been amazing with the transitions. Teaching virtual and face to face is now the challenge I face and using the Swivl C1 will allow my virtual students to stay connected to the classroom. My virtual students will be able to get real time instruction along side their classmates. This device will allow my virtual students to engage with me seemlessly because this device will allow my students to follow my movements in real time. They will not have a limited view of my screen because the Swivl will move with me unlike a standard laptop camera. I want to be able to deliver instruction to my students in a way that they will forget that they are not actualyl in the classroom with me. This device will also allow my virtual students to interact in real time with their classmates as the camera will span to the indivdual that is speaking. My virtual students will get to ask and answer questions from their classmates that are in the classroom.
