This equipment is not only the start of educating these girls on the sport of volleyball but also providing a positive outlet for them. Many of these girls have not had the opportunity to play in organized sports. Our goal is to properly train, educate, and coach these young women both on and off the court. Also to allow these players to receive exposure to volleyball outside of the community and understand their potential to have another option for advancement in their academic career beyond middle school. Female athletics has been neglected on so many levels. Middle schoolers are at an age where with the proper guidance and encouragement they can excel on many aspects. The sport of volleyball teaches teamwork, perseverance, leadership, how to critical think, and problem solve. Allowing girls to participate in this sport can help them mentally, physically, and socioemotionally.
