Children with special needs need extra breaks in a place they feel relaxed and safe. A sensory area is a great place to provide students For deescalation. My room is in need of more sensory tools for the kids to utilize. The current pandemic has made it very important that kids have there own sensory tools, so as not to pass germs to each other. I left many of my supplies at the last school I taught at so I need additional supplies for my life skills students this year.
