This year, my students are taking Robotics as a daily elective. Due to Covid-19 related budget restrictions, and the majority of the students in our school receiving virtual instruction, developmentally appropriate robotics kits were unable to be purchased. The Lego Education robotics kits are not only age and developmentally appropriate for my students, but are also beneficial in teaching them to follow visual step-by-step instructions and improving their tech-based skills; two of the core foundations that they will need as they graduate and move on to transitional programming. We hope to maximize the students' opportunity to complete a school-year-long robotics project that integrates hands-on learning, motor skill development, science, engineering, and technology!
