Small group reading and math instruction is where the true magic happens. Targeted instruction for each individual student allows their learning gaps to be addressed and hopefully, closed. However, this type of instruction requires being in close proximity to the students and since we are in the middle of a pandemic, this vital part of instruction could be lost. This plexiglass sneeze guard will allow me to continue to teach in small groups as well as tutor individually without jeopardizing health and safety. It is my goal as a second grade teacher to have each student reading on grade level by the end of the year. Being able to listen to my students read everyday and work on important skills necessary to build their learning foundation is such a key part of their success. Your support is greatly appreciated!
