Part of the middle school science learning experience is and should be about "doing" science. Something special happens to a middle school student when they enter their science classroom and get to put those goggles on for the first time. Allowing students to make metric measurements, use actual lab equipment, make scientific observations, is invaluable to every science educator. I want to give them that experience, even from their own homes. Being able to provide my students with graduated cylinders, test tubes, droppers, etc. allows me to do what I love, create young scientists.
