The Covid-19 pandemic has been traumatic for people all over the world. This includes my students! They have not been able to enter our school building for the past 6 months and have struggled to learn remotely from their homes during that time. Separation from their teachers and friends, inconsistent Internet and technology services, frightening news stories every night, and lack of access to our free breakfast and lunch program are just a few challenges that our students have faced. As we prepare to reopen our aging school building, we realize that it is not equipped with the proper ventilation that our students and staff need in order to feel safe and ready to learn. These air purifiers will help filter out particles in the air so that breathing clean air is one less thing that our students need to worry about it as they learn and excel.
