One in four adults in the USA has special needs. My students all have special needs, but regardless of their disabilities, I know that my students can become successfully employed citizens. The materials that I need will assist in our Student Based Enterprise. The students will use our grant funded Cricut to make items to sell. We will make t-shirts, signs, gift tags, mugs, other customized items to sell to our community. The kids will learn how to follow directions and how to become an entrepreneur. These items will help my students gain skills that will assist them with acquiring paid employment. Other supplies are being used for remote learning to create employment kits so that skills will not be lost. Employment kits with different tasks of sorting and measuring will be delivered to the homes of kids that are learning virtually.
