Most of my 60 preschoolers (A.M., P.M., and 3rd shift sessions) are English language learners who have their first literacy experience in my public school classroom. Despite the fact that they are already considered at-risk due their income level, my (3, 4, and 5 year old) students are already very passionate about the idea of reading and enjoy listening to a read aloud.
