Cultural diversity is an important concept to grasp during childhood. Learning about different cultures offers new experiences to children who may never have the opportunity to travel and explore other cultures. Diversity activities teach young children to respect and celebrate the similarities and differences in all people. Children learn to embrace and value the things that make everyone unique. In light of today's culture, I want to give my students every opportunity to address racial, cultural and gender bias and learn to succeed in a world where these bias exist.
