Due to the current restrictions, my students must have individual materials that can be easily cleaned. Learning tubs will be created to help students learn letters, build words and explore letter/sound relationships. Hands on experiences will give my students the opportunity to learn in a fun engaging manner. Imagine having to be physically distanced in the classroom with no centers or shared equipment. This is the reality in my kindergarten classroom this year. With these materials, I can allow students to individually interact with manipulatives that will help build their knowledge of letters, sounds, words and numbers. During these trying times, a distraction from worries is needed more than ever. Allowing my students to explore learning in a hands on manner can help distract while setting the stage for a love of learning.
