These materials will give the students the basic tools that they will need to be able to understand and communicate addition of forces (and velocity, acceleration, electric and magnetic fields, and basically any vector quantity). With other commitments that the school has, the cost of these items has been prohibitive. The value of this learning tool is hard to describe in just a few words, but it allows the students to visualize several different concepts so that they can better understand how forces work on physical objects. Without them, the students never achieve the depth of learning to push themselves further into their studies.
