My students live in a rural area where nature is all around them. These materials would encourage the students to see the environment around them differently as they explore each and every day both inside and outside the classroom. We will use the Sensory Dome and Desert Hothouse to grow and observe plants inside our classroom. We will use the microscopes to explore materials we collect outside and examine things inside the classroom. The others materials will be specimens for us to observe and examine first hand things we otherwise might not be able to see.
