By sponsoring my project, the books, The Giver, and The New Kid, you will help engage my students by having a variety of books to choose from when reading novels together in class. We will primarily be using them during our reading remediation time. Many of the books in the school are older (well used) and the subjects are irrelevant to the students' interest today. By the students having the choice of a graphic novel and a dystopian novel, the interest level for the students in the books will be great.
