A new bass clarinet will allow for the band to have an essential addition to our overall band sound. Most of the instruments we have been rescued by parents or donated to the school. Since instrument rental programs don’t do the larger instruments our bass clarinet was a donation a long time ago. It is not in its best condition and I have a student who just broke her leg and has the time to learn and perfect her abilities on this instrument. Our Pirate band and Pirate community does its best with what we’ve got and we want a hand up, not a handout.
