Students deserve an unforgettable learning experience. As Ms. T.'s Sentinel Scientist, my goal is to provide a long-lasting experience that places students in the scientist role. To do, my scientists need to materials necessary to bring this to life. This is why white aprons are necessary for my students. Not only are they beneficial for my students to safely conduct science experiments, but it's a confidence booster for my eighth-grade boys to dress as scientists. The lab aprons will remain in the classroom and each student would have their own. Once the lab aprons are received, an in-class white lab apron ceremony will occur to make it official. I am a firm believer that if students dress the part, they can and will live up to that role and expectation. By donating to this project, my little scientists are one step closer to stepping into that role. How you look says a lot about you and it spills over into how you conduct yourself and the work that is produced. I know the white lab aprons will be a confidence booster for my students and it will encourage them to work, think, and produce like future scientists.
