The use of xy axis graph whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my math classes. Using the workshop model in math, my mathematicians are able to use the whiteboards and rulers for guided practice and to record modeled strategies. The whiteboards will allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. While we are distance learning, I would like to give my students opportunities for brain breaks and lessen the screen time. Having these white boards will allow my students give their eyes a rest as stay engaged on their math assignments. The jumbo grid will help me demonstrate and model for my students as I teach from home. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. My 7th and 8th graders will be able to demonstrate their understanding of money and integers. They will be able to use the xy axis graph whiteboards to graph and create equations about interest rates, withdrawals and savings. My mathematicians will love getting their hands on their very own XY axis graph whiteboard and ruler.
