These materials will help enhance the hands-on environment that I strive to create. My classroom is a place where I want my students to build, create, and imagine while using critical thinking skills to learn the standards required of them. Studies have shown over the years, early education children learn best when using hands-on materials. With these new hands-on manipulatives, my students will be able to choose from a variety of challenging activities that he or she can touch and manipulate. My hope is that using hands-on materials will spark a love of learning that will go with each student throughout his or her life. The fairy tale STEM kit will help the students master reading comprehension through visual activities. The shape building blocks, crazy shape building sets, and bristle builders will help the students to learn shapes and create new shapes while using their hands instead of worksheets. My students will be able to learn letters in a fun way while exploring and building with magnetic letter builders. By using the truth or myth science kit and cosmic space projector, my students will be able to use their five senses while learning science. The snap counting and addition centers will help students learn numbers, addition, and counting through the use of hands-on manipulatives.
