I am developing a dramatic play curriculum for our school that will allow our students to have opportunities for pretend play while supporting their independence and communication development. This will include exploring practical life activities such as dressing and washing baby dolls and literature such as exploring familiar and new stories with puppets. Dramatic play activities provide children with the opportunity to rehearse essential life and communication skills. This is especially important for students with disabilities as they will be able to practice self-care and how to express their needs.

About my class
