After the first week of school this week, my 2nd grade students are stuck in their desks all day because of school COVID procedures. Breakfast, lunch and specials all take place in the classroom on top of learning. It's hard. They have to stay in their own space and can't wander around the room much or school. I have noticed right away this week that they are getting super wiggly in their desks. We do all of our work at our desks that are distanced apart from one another. We get up and do go noodles, dance and stretch, but they have to stay in their area. I would be so grateful if each of my students could have a wobbly stool and benefit from this. Especially with how much they have to sit at their desk this year. They would be able to move, and wiggle around while learning, and stay on task longer.
