Most of my students have no experience playing any type of racquet sport. I feel that this can be a wonderful introduction into 3 new ways to stay physically active. This is also a wonderful sport to incorporate into this crazy Covid world. Racquet sports allow you to be physically active, and physically distant. And the ease of portability with these nets, allows me to take the equipment outside when the weather is nice also. I have some equipment already, but I need a few more items to fully succeed with this unit of study. The equipment that I am requesting will be used for grades K-8. All of these grade levels can benefit from the skills necessary to play pickleball, table tennis and badminton. Hand-eye coordination, strategy, teamwork and cooperation carry over into many different games/sports that we participate in during PE class. I believe that this will be a wonderful, challenging addition to my PE curriculum that my students will definitely enjoy.
