Having sensory stimulation is essential as many special needs students need it to further their foundational learning goals. By accomplishing their foundational goals, they can progress to becoming much more independent students. With these materials, students will be able to excel in academic and social-emotional learning. My students have shown that they excel in academics with sensory materials and become more independent individuals and not just excellent students. In becoming more independent, they show that they can be more than what meets the eye.
