We are in person in Mead at my school. In teaching health and fitness, I need activities that are socially distanced while still working on our standards. Yoga is a perfect activity because it is socially distanced, we can do it indoor or outdoor depending on the weather, and we can still work on our health and fitness standards and the five components of fitness. Also, it is very important to help students learn techniques to help them when stressed and yoga can be a great tool for that social emotional learning. In addition, Yoga is also a life long activity that students can do anywhere, so this can be so beneficial for them not only now in a pandemic, but also for the rest of their lives. Thank you for your help!

About my class
