Over half of my class still significantly struggle with letter sounds in words. Pop Its will help them tap out the sounds in words while being engaged in their learning. Research shows that hand movement and tapping can support students in letter sound recognition. Oftentimes, students have a hard time listening to stories/research project articles online because so many of them have their own headphones. Very few of my students are able to bring headphones to school each year. If every student has their own set, they can better focus on their work without distracting those around them.
