My students are Pre-K through 2nd grade special education. Some have physical needs. All of my friends have social/emotional and sensory needs. Some items, such as weighted animals and lap pads, will help my students with Autism and ADHD be more successful sitting. Fidgets help them manipulate something other than breaking crayons, pencils, etc. They benefit greatly from basic academic learning in the form of games and activities. Not only do my students struggle with social/emotional, adaptive, and sensory needs, they also have cognitive deficits. Fun, engaging activities help them learn better!
