In order to be ready to learn in their classrooms, my students need to know how to recognize their emotions and control their bodies. That is why this project is so important. My students need to be taught how to identify their emotions and calm themselves in order to be ready to learn. This can be difficult for many students. I will use the books to help students learn and control their emotions. The books will be used in conjunction with lessons I plan to teach in order for students to learn how to identify their emotions. I'm looking forward to teaching all students, Kindergarten through 6th grade, the same language, and tools in order to work together as a school on self-regulation. Our goal is to reach 100% of our students!
