My district started the school year remotely. Fortunately, due to an Executive Order by our State’s Governor, the students with Individual Education Plans will have the opportunity to come to school for in-person services. The paraeducators and myself will be able to work with the students that come into school on their specific Individual Education Plan Goals and we will continue to work remotely with the other students. There will be times during the day that the students in school will join their classmates for virtual lessons being taught by their mainstream grade level teacher. The headphones with Mics will allow my students to learn in the classroom during this remote period without the distractions around them. The paraeducators and I are excited to see the students in person, although, teaching and supporting them with their virtual classes will present a few challenges for both the students, the paraeducators and myself.
