Students need time each day to explore, build, create, and play. Research in child development has shown that it is imperative students have time for unstructured inquiry and imaginative play. Each morning my students will be able to access these materials for the first 10 minutes of our day. This will be an engaging and powerful way to kick off our day of learning together. The open-ended materials I am asking for will be used to grow important skills such as creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. The brain bins I will create with these materials are one small way I can foster these skills in the classroom. Thank you for your consideration and helping provide my students with materials that will promote creativity and other essential skills.
