Imagine having the drive to want to read, but learning difficulties make it a challenge. Your teacher has the knowledge, the intervention reading materials, dedication and a pandemic comes along. Now, your instructor has to figure out how to deliver essential lessons using online platforms. She has some resources, but knows what is needed to enhance the instruction online, but funds are low. An iPad and Apple Pencil are known for being immersive and responsive, as it grabs the attention of students regardless of learning styles. The features help students become engaged on what it’s being taught. Paper-based intervention reading materials used in the brick and mortar classroom setting have now become digital and are compatible with an iPad. Students will be able to get easier views by instructors using an iPad when sharing a screen and can utilize the Apple Pencil to provide models using handwriting visual clues rather than typed font. For my academically challenged students these explicit models are essential for their academic growth especially when teacher and students are interacting remotely.
