These materials will be used in their everyday life, at school and home. At 4 years old, it is hard to stay focused in a new environment, which can be scary. We want to give the students the best learning environment for them which includes providing different seating options to accommodate all students needs. At a young age, it is very hard to sit still which is why we are hoping to get more, fun, and different items that they might not normally use at home. For example, giving students child sized exercise balls, wobbly chairs, and donut seats, help them feel more comfortable and have a choice in their learning. Another part of our project is focused on helping their ability to grow as an individual in their social emotional development. As a young child, it's is hard to express emotions and handling them, which is why we are hoping for books that help explain and give them safe options for how to handle them. For example, A Little Spot of Kindness is a book we would read and talk about how we can be kind with one another.
