The use of devices to assist with distance learning is needed. Challenges with the new normal won't be dissipating anytime soon. Our students are getting quarantined along with teachers on a day to day basis for weeks at a time. Some parents have elected for their students to learn only from home, while others have chosen a face to face option. Blending distanced learning with the face to face environment has presented challenges to maintaining a cohesive and productive classroom. The social, emotional, and academic success of our students is vital. THe project included high quality portable microphone to ensure proper audio is heard during live and recorded lessons. The students learning from home shouldn't miss any comments or expressive nature that happens in class. Since we have been faced with the experience of a blended classroom the first part of this year. I have come to realize the need for wireless headphones that can be used during these blended lessons. Using the headphones allows the teacher to screen the questions before they are blurted out over the speakers in the classroom. The powerbeats pro offer the ability to use one earpiece at a time while the other stays on charge giving teacher the ability make them last all day and freedom to move about the classroom without wires. The students at have the ability to interact with the teacher as if they were in class with less disruption. Video quality is a big component when learning virtually. The webcam is included to make sure demonstrations and examples are clearly seen by the students. I have also included a travel safe bag which makes the equipment easy to stow, store, grab and go when needed. The social and emotional needs meet by classroom interactions can be felt at home.
