My students are extremely motivated by imaginative play. During this stage in young students' lives they expand upon their knowledge of the world through play-based learning with hands on materials. These costumes will provide unique play opportunities for my students to engage in positive social interactions, learn about community helpers and their importance, and how we can care for each other as people. The puppets will also increase social emotional interaction and empathy towards others through imaginative play. My students are highly motivated to learn through pretend and I cannot wait to see how they will learn and grow as caring people with these materials!
