STEM is thoroughly engaging for ALL learners. This will help my at-risk population learn school is an exciting and FUN place to be. Getting these transitional kindergarteners started on the right foot is very important. The STEM activities we do in class help build connections between our skill learning and interesting content that carries over to their lives. The IF/THEN collection will help me show students that ANYONE who has an interest can do STEM. There are tons of resources available to support and enrich our classroom learning with real world examples of who and what. When we learn about space, we will have role models to look up to as well as hands-on materials to bring our content to life. It is always my goal to teach about a hero and STEM content together. When we learn about successful people, it helps us learn how to also succeed especially for those that my not have those role models readily available to them! It's never too early to start shaping broad perspectives and interests for students!
