Currently due to distance learning, my students are required to spend a vast amount of screen time though Google Meets, which provides its own set of challenges to an already stressful school year for my new 6th graders. Additional challenges are arising as my old teacher computer provided to me by my school is not able to handle the work load required to hold smooth digital lessons. I want the focus of my students to be aimed towards identifying patterns in math or coming up with scientific questions, and not the lag, buffering and dropped calls due to my clunky computer. Digital Learning was never meant to be easy, but I want to be able to make it as close to a "normal" 1st year middle school experiences as possible for my students. This new computer would greatly benefit my students' learning because it will provide them a sense of stability during our digital learning period. When we can finally return to the classroom, I plan to use this computer as a base for students to create model and share ideas via projector. Please help me make this school year as seamless as possible! Thank you!
