This project will help my students learn about the elements of art, line and color. They will be applying the element of art color by learning about primary and secondary colors by using watercolor paint. My students will create a background for their composition using watercolor and the three primary colors (red, yellow, and blue) and layering these colors with the watercolor to create secondary colors (orange, green, and violet). By doing this, it will teach my students how to mix any color using the three primary colors. After they complete their background, they will use fine tip pens to create interesting line work on top of their painting to create an interesting composition.
