The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will benefit them during their learning process. With this station my students will learn to decode unfamiliar words. Teaches critical listening skills. Introduces new vocabulary. Provides a read-aloud model. My students are second graders and we are learning to listen. Critical listening helps a person understand and evaluate what is being said and how it is being said. It permits the listener to concentrate on the main points and evidence offered for each point and to determine the speaker's viewpoint and why he or she holds that perspective. This will increase their comprehension and will also provide a read-aloud model
