My classroom is in a hallway with other classrooms that do not have doors, nor do our walls go to the ceiling. I also share my room with other teachers who are teaching small groups. My students struggle with focus and learning new strategies when external noises, sounds, and just movement in the hallways are all around them Having a rolling white board will help to block out the distractions and keep groups focused while there are learning and practicing new skills. My students also need freedom to get up and do work from different positions to help with executive functioning, and using a white board will allow them to gain independence with practicing their math skills.
