I teach first grade in Phoenix, Arizona. Most my first graders come from low-income households. Even though these students may struggle, they work hard and inspire me everyday. My class struggles with reading more than math so a lot of my projects are reading based. I want to give me students a variety of books to choose from in our classroom because I know they may not have books at home. We do our absolute best to work with these students in order to help them read at grade level. I could not imagine doing anything other than supporting these students and providing them with a classroom that feels like home. Thank you for considering donating to my classroom!
