These classroom tools will help students implement the sustainable practices they are learning to use pallets that would otherwise be discarded to upcycle for useful structures, furniture, decor, or garden accessories. Additionally, students will be able to use these tools to take apart and analyze the components of old televisions and appliances and then utilize those otherwise cast-away components to reuse or recycle to fund additional projects. One of the major STEAM projects that students will be taking on is the construction of an electric-generating bicycle. These activities will help students better understand sustainable practices.
