I am preparing my classroom for my students' upcoming return to in-person learning. With this year's many transitions and changes, I want to ensure that my learners all feel comfortable in the classroom environment. I want to use the fluorescent light covers to reduce the brightness of the lights in my classroom. This will make the space more inviting and calming for everyone who enters the classroom. The light covers will reduce the likelihood of the florescent lights irritating my students with sensory needs. This addition will benefit all students in the class! The sensory toys will also benefit all students. I plan to allow students to choose their preferred toy to use during brain breaks, as a fidget to help them focus during instruction, and as an individual reward. Please help me create a welcoming sensory environment for my students! I would greatly appreciate any contributions towards this project and know my students will be so thankful for these tools to support their sensory needs!
