The students I serve come from a low socioeconomic, border town area. Many of our students struggle to access electronic books and research materials for assignments due to a lack of any electronic device other than a parent's phone. In the few weeks we have begun virtual learning, it has become evident that the need for devices in the hands of our students is far and wide. Many of our students also have siblings who are sharing one device for limited periods of time. It is not difficult to imagine the struggle of a child so eager to discover and learn with such limited means. The IPads would be so beneficial in the hands of students longing to read and research, to learn and discover, and to grow technological skills that will last a lifetime.
