Communication is such an important part of everyday whether it is verbal, written, facial, or even body language. My students need to be able to communicate in a way that can be understood by everyone else. Laminated picture/word boards would keep the communication going with fellow students as well as the staff. The boards can be marked with a dry erase marker and wiped off after the communication is completed. The student points to a picture/word making as complete a sentence as possible based on the icons on the boards.
