I am requesting a 3D printer and filament so my students can learn skills to design and create real world solutions. Middle school students are imaginative and have endless ideas. Our new 3D printer will be added to our growing maker space in the library and will provide students with an opportunity to explore a valuable 21st century skill. Being centrally located in our library, all students will be able to access this technology. Students will work together to come up with ideas to solve real world problems through 3D printing. This printer will help students to build their capacity as inventors, artists, and engineers. They will work on cross-curricular projects and focus on critical thinking and problem solving.
