My students need to be able to create digitally to be competitive in today's job market. So to give them better real world experience and practice, my students will be completing this project digitally on their iPads. Unfortunately, I've found it is very hard for students to go from physical mediums to digital because of the lack of pressure sensitivity in a basic stylus. Thus, the Apple pencils for this project will help students become more familiar and comfortable with digital drawing, because the pressure sensitivity in the Apple pencils acts and feels more like the mediums they have used before. These Apple pencils will help my students create more professional and higher quality artwork for years to come since they will be able to use them on nearly every project that we do throughout the year, substituting traditional mediums for digital.
