Once a month, we do a "Creative Cycles Day" in art class. Students move freely between 8 different art "stations." Stations include a watercolor center, oil pastel center, collaborative poster center, etc. It is a way to let kids have free choice while also giving them some helpful parameters. I would love to have a Lego Architecture station! I would like to have laminated cards with famous buildings that are often studied in art history as references for the students. They can look at the cards and information and then experiment with building a Lego replica of that particular structure.
